Cliff Knitwear project
Fall / Winter Collection
My inspiration for this collection was taken form the Swedish-American oil painter, Birger Sandzen's artworks of cliffs. He uses thick brush and rich oil paint to create the blocks on the cliffs. He likes to use bright blue to sharp the shapes in his paintings. I also researched the texture of different type of rocks. I used a type of stretch yarn, after steam, the yarn would shrink and become fuzzy to add the swatches' thickness and softness. It matches the feeling with the artist's painting.
