Chenye Zhang

Spring / Summer This collection was inspired by scooter girls. The silhouette is reminiscent of several styles from the 1950s and 60s. For material I used different types of synthetics fabrics combined with flower print silk organza. The color story is ivory, peach, orange, coral, cornflower blue, and cinnamon. Spring / Summer Collection My inspiration for this collection is from some glass art pieces. The silhouettes are from 1910's Gibson girl. My primary materials  are various types of vintage lace that I discovered at a small lace museum. Fabric: Process: Designs: 3D samples:

Fall / Winter Collection My inspiration for this collection was taken form the traditional Chinese paintings of the artist Wu Guanzhong. His paintings have always given me cozy and peaceful feeling. So I used soft, fuzzy, and thick yarns to create this project. My garments are also simple and easy to wear.

Pre-Fall Collection My insperation is from Henna. This is a very delicate collection. Colors are earthy, strong and contrasting.
